The Department of Software Development was established within the Faculty of Science by the decision of the Higher Education Executive Board dated April 7, 2024.

Admission and Registration Requirements
Applicants are required to hold a high school or equivalent diploma and to have obtained a sufficient score in the university entrance examination administered by ÖSYM. International students are required to obtain a sufficient score in the Foreign Student Examination (YÖS). Students who complete their final registration must enroll in their courses within the dates specified in the academic calendar.
Career Opportunities
Graduates may work in a wide range of positions related to information technologies, including computer programmer and software developer, system designer and administrator, network administrator, database systems specialist, web design specialist, and information security specialist. In addition, due to their education in accounting, management, and organizational knowledge related to business administration, graduates are qualified to work in sectors such as telecommunications, e-commerce, e-business, banking, insurance, accounting, and many others. They may take on roles such as manager, coordinator, project manager, or consultant in the design, implementation, and management of systems including e-commerce systems, enterprise systems, supply chain management systems, transaction processing systems, decision support systems, information management systems, expert systems, data mining applications, virtual reality technologies, cloud systems, and mobile communication systems.
